With divisions in Sales, Appraisals, Consulting and Property Management, Higgins & Welch Real Estate, Inc. serves a diverse clientele throughout the Greater Philadelphia Metropolitan Region. Our team of dedicated professionals possesses the experience and technological tools to support each of our clients - individuals, businesses, financial institutions, law professionals, municipalities, government entities - with comprehensive, efficient and effective service. HARRY H. HIGGINS III - IN MEMORIAM

FOUNDER

Harry, founding Broker, was a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and Broker having worked in all phases of real estate for over forty years. A graduate of Penn State University, Harry has served as an adjunct professor of Real Estate at Temple University, sat on numerous boards, and has enjoyed various consulting roles. He lived in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia.

EDWARD A. WELCH III

President, Licensed Real Estate Broker of Record (PA, NJ), Certified Real Estate Appraiser (PA, NJ, ME), ASA

Ed is the Broker of Record for Higgins & Welch Real Estate and owner of the Higgins & Welch Organization. He is also a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in PA, NJ & ME. Ed earned an undergraduate degree from Temple University and a Master’s Degree from Arcadia University. Ed is frequently engaged as an Expert Witness Appraiser on a wide array of valuation matters; and as Broker on topics such as Standards of Practice & Duty of Care. He has enjoyed teaching and speaking on real estate topics; has met the requirements to become certified as General Appraiser; is a licensed Notary Public and takes pride in donating energy and financial contributions to a myriad of charitable endeavors. Ed lives in Springfield Township, Montgomery County with his family.

LEE ABRAMS

PA Licensed Salesperson/REALTOR, REO Specialist

Lee is a U.S. Naval Veteran and seasoned 20+ year real estate professional having achieved successes including designation as a “Top Producer/Mega Agent” and 18 consecutive years performing as a multi-million dollar producer. He is a family man who finds purpose and joy in spending time with his wife, four children and first Grandson.

Michael Anderson is a graduate of Drexel University and former San Antonio Spur. Michael is a sales associate and specializes in the acquisition and management of rental and investment property throughout Philadelphia. He lives with his wife and four daughters who keep him busy outside of work.

Harry is a Temple University Graduate with prior experience as an IT Project Manager in Telecom and related industries. Harry has transferred his skills and detail oriented processes into his Real Estate Sales career and works with both residential and commercial property.

Robert is a Cheltenham born and bred Licensed Real Estate Salesperson and Property Manager. He enjoys continuing his education and personal improvement courses, and splits his time working on site in the Philadelphia Region and remotely from Austin Texas.

COURTNEY COLBERT-SMITH

PA Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser

Courtney Colbert-Smith is a native of Newtown Square. She graduated from Shippensburg University in 1995 and in 2012 was inducted into the University’s Hall of Fame for her accomplishments representing their Lacrosse team. These include being named a three-time All-PSAC and four-time IWLCA All-American lacrosse player. She also holds the record for most career goals with 210, a record still unbroken 30 years later. Before following her path as a Real Estate Appraiser, Courtney began her professional career and grew to a high level, client focused marketing executive for several of the nation’s largest wireless carriers. She and her Husband Paul live in Wayne PA moonlighting as amateur food and wine connoisseurs and traveling to new destinations to explore together.

Pat is both a certified residential appraiser and a licensed sales agent since 1984. With a background as an English teacher, and experience as a site agent for a builder, as well as developing a division for a prior real estate company, she brings unprecedented experience and knowledge to her clients. Pat was born and raised in Chestnut Hill, attending Springside School and returning to the area after graduating from Goddard College in Vermont. Pat currently resides in Wyndmoor.

Michael, Attended Boston University’s School of Communication, is transferring three decades of professional sales and marketing skills including high demand roles as Senior VP of Sales, Trading and Underwriting in the Bonds Industry. He lives in Wyndmoor, PA with his wife Jennifer and his two daughters who are attending College. Michael is now applying sound principals of business practices he has learned, along with high levels of detail and due diligence – to the Real Estate Industry.

Jim graduated with honors from Drexel University with a B.S. in Construction Management. He is a licensed Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker. Mark has been a Real Estate investor since 2004 and licensed in 2005 primarily focusing on the Philadelphia marketplace. With successes as both a Buyer and Seller agent over the years, Mark continued to focus on his personal investments. Today, Mark owns and manages numerous properties at Temple University while continually working on other investments including full and partial rehabs, as well as new construction. Prior to his involvement in Real Estate, Mark (University of Delaware, 1994) spent ten years in sales and marketing jobs – four years at MCI, four years at Internet start up Vertical Alliance, and two years at Liberty Healthcare.
